Solution

The tone and brand identity of the website are enhanced with the color swatch: green and white for friendliness; and beige for feelings of simplicity and calmness. Intentionally using words and typography, such as “Dedicated to High Quality Food and Services” and “Serving Lorton: Why We Care,” enhance the restaurant’s tone and credibility. By choosing specific words, the intent is to establish a brand that is associated with the community, small-business entrepreneurship, and a place to find friends and family.

Accessible features include contrasted text, high contrast buttons, an accessible toolbar, and appropriate coding make content legible for all users. Additionally, a search engine plug-in is used to increase engagement through search engine browsers.

Project Outcome

As a result, the re-branded website provides improved accessibility and a cohesive brand-identity from Steak N’ Things. Steak N’ Things can now increase its ability to reach the entire Lorton community. With greater access and greater reach, Steak N’ Things can increase its in-location consumers.
