Design Challenge

At Flagler College, the disability population does not have much representation. Some of the times, there are very few events that are dedicated to people with disabilties. This challenge creates an access problem for people with disabilties at Flagler College.

Solution

By creating sketches and receiving feedback from the Disability Awareness Week committee, a comprehensive SOCI-ABLES social media and print advertisement campaign were developed. Each of these campaign flyers were developed in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign to apply graphic design principles.

This campaign was made to promote Disability Awareness Week events and promote inclusion for people with disabilities at Flagler College.

Project Outcome

By creating a set of campaign flyers, Disability Awareness Week received higher attendees due to the amount of flyers posted on social media and on campus. Each flyer provided more representation for the disability community because of the meanings behind each advertisement flyer. Because of the flyers, more people know about SOCI-ABLES, its mission, and has people going to its events.
